The Pheasant Hotel, Holt, Norfolk - The Coaching Inn Group - Kelling

Had perfect 10/10 stay for an anniversary celebration. The employees at the hotel were caring and smart. The location was magnificent and unbeatable - within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. It was a beautiful area, an excellent base for us. The restaurant was particularly good, brilliant food.

Although everything was very good, some of the staff were unresponsive.

I had stocked double room with large bed, the most amazing shower plus excellent facilities. As for me, the location was magnificent and perfect, just off a long the coast to Sheringham and the main restaurant.

The Pheasant has lovely surroundings and attentive staff, yet the dining experience fell short, with a slow breakfast service and lack of vegetarian options. The room was clean and well-equipped, but I appreciated the fresh milk and comfy bed. A pleasant stay despite the dining hiccups.

Service inefficiencies during busy periods need attention!!! The limited vegetarian and vegan options are disappointing with dietary preferences!!! Room temperature control could be better, especially without air conditioning!!!

The hotel is ideally positioned for family activities like birdwatching and coastal walks. With a lovely setting and attentive staff, we felt at home. The bedroom was comfortable, and I appreciated having proper milk in the fridge instead of UHT.

My children wanted more dining options for families.

Really good Dog-Friendly Experience

The dog-friendly room was not only clean but also stocked with thoughtful amenities like a complimentary blanket and biscuits for our dog. Dining was equally excellent, with a diverse menu that included locally sourced ingredients, and the breakfast selection offered generous portions of freshly made options. Although the room decor could use a little modernization, the overall experience was heartwarming, thanks to the attentive and friendly staff who treat every guest like family.

With a dog-friendly room just steps from the outdoor area, the attention to our pet. The comforts of the room, including a Nespresso machine and a Dyson hairdryer, were excellent touches. Breakfast was a highlight with fresh seafood options, but a faster breakfast service would enhance the experience.

I loved the delicious breakfast with fresh local produce! The double room was spacious and comfortable. A bit of a wait during dinner service, but overall, we had a relaxing stay. 😊

The focaccia bread was a standout! The chefs care about presentation, and the high-quality ingredients used in every dish shone through. Plus, the gardens were amazing, clearly maintained with hard work and love.

We experienced some lengthy delays during dinner service, which can be a challenge with young ones in tow. It'd be lovely to see more flexibility in dining options for families, especially since kids are seated separately in the orangery.
